Scientific Illustrations require a unique form of cooperation between Art and Science. These illustrations communicate scientific ideas visually by using the guiding principles of art to depict multifaceted relationships between phenomena that may be difficult to understand by other means. For this work, I selected the most informative but artistically beautiful scientific illustrations from my current science curricula, focusing mainly on electromagnetism and astronomy beyond our solar system. Scientific Illustrations is comprehensive, inherently synthetical, and makes direct reference to attributes of both Art and Science, showing the beauty that can arise when Art and Science combine.
